Celeb spotting
Not the full post that I intended, just a quick one.
Yesterday as Gill and I walked to the supermarket (and lunch and the cinema, as it transpired), we walked past a film crew on on 72nd between West End and Amsterdam who were setting up.
A couple were being let into the building next to where they were setting up and I - in typical fashion - glanced thought that they were just being let in past the crew as they lived in the building. Gill mentioned that the man looked like a slightly heavier Hugh Grant with longish hair, and I remember the woman as being petite and pretty but not stunning and that was that.
Off we went to lunch, Happy Feet (which I feel was completely mis-sold and way too heavy for a kid's movie and, frankly, had a couple of scenes that were kind of disturbing. That said, no film with dancing and singing penguins is all bad) and Fairways before trekking back home much later after darkness fell.
The film crew were still there and we skirted the edge of them as they poked cameras and floodlights into the building. This time we checked the crates and 'no parking' stickers for the production's name - Music and Lyrics By - and once home checked www.imdb.com.
Music and Lyrics By - sure enough, in production in New York starring Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant.
Which explains the two people walking into the building and tells me that I really should pay more attention...
