Hiccup...

As Departure Day draws neare (8 days and counting), things seem to be falling into place - mostly.

After a nervewracking couple of days where Gill's employers embarrassingly failed a credit check, we now have the apartment confirmed - which means that at least we have somewhere to live! Now if we can only get it furnished...

On the downside, the job which was virtually confirmed on Friday has now apparently fallen through. Apparently they are still trying to finalise the new structure of the company so can't get the position I was going to have approved just yet. Bugger!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it could still work out as

a) it's a really cool company and;

b) I hate interviewing with a fiery passion!

On the bright side, I get my last paycheck on Friday - and combining holiday pay and an extortionate amount of charges for me coming back for two weeks in June, it's around about four times the usual amount! Woo hoo!!
